Isabelle Mercier was born in Canada and studied law at the University of Montreal, but ended up practicing fo​r only 6 months. Refusing to settle for a 9 to 5 job, she flew to Paris and quickly climbed her way up to a managerial position at the Aviation Club de France (ACF) Poker Room. A few years later, Isabelle saw that becoming a professional poker player could be a possible career path, and she hit the jackpot by winning the WPT (World Poker Tour) “Ladies Night” Tournament in 2004. On that night, she was given the nickname “No Mercy”, by poker legend Mike Sexton, as a reference to her aggressive and merciless gameplay. Soon after, Isabelle was shot to stardom increasing her media coverage worldwide, and her winnings in tournaments exceed a million dollars.

Today, she has a new passion and is dedicated to Open Face Chinese Poker. She won the first ever OFC “Progressive” World Championship at the Festival in Prague in December 2015 as a TonyBet Poker pro player, and became an ambassador for CoinPoker in 2017.
